Hi RB, thanks for the kind words!

If the school is in Camden then you're probably going to be looking for somewhere in North London. Where you live is going to be very dependent on the amount of money that you can spend.

If it was me and I was visiting and I had a very good income then I'd consider the nicer parts of Camden (close to Regent's Park), Belsize Park, St. John's Wood or Maida Vale. These places are pleasant, safe, family friendly and very close to Central London and the gorgeous Regent's Park. But they are expensive to put it mildly.

For a more moderate income I think your best bet are areas to the North: Kentish Town, Archway (don't be put off by the town centre, the housing here can be really very nice), Highgate (maybe a bit expensive), Muswell Hill, Finchley, Crouch End, Hornsey. All of these areas are leafy and green, safe, pleasant and family friendly. If you're still finding these places a bit too expensive, you want to look West and not East. Look at West Hampstead, Kilburn, Cricklewood, Willesden. The places to avoid (generally) are Holloway, Finsbury Park, Tottenham (also most of Hackney if you find yourself drawn East).

I hope that helps! Have a look on gumtree.com and search for house rentals in the areas you're interested in - it should give you some idea of the prices in these areas. Good luck!

Hi James,

Thanks for your well detailed email. We are now more focused where to start looking for accomodation. If the school happens to be in Covent Garden do you still suggest the same areas advise. Do you know anything about rent-to-buy!!!

Thanks,
RB
