London Guide - North London
Hampstead has lovely cafes restaurants and some of my favourite pubs. It has lots of character and a charming villagey feel.

Hampstead is right next to the beautiful Hampstead Heath so you feel like you're in a small country village when in fact you're less than 3 miles from The City.

Sound good? You're not the first person to think so. Hampstead has one of Britain's highest concentration of millionaires and the prices reflect this.

Still, for the rest of us a very nice day out is a picnic and walk on Hampstead Heath followed by a stop in one of the many cafes and pubs.

The non-gazillionaire still determined to live in the area may want to check out nearby West Hampstead, Swiss Cottage, Belsize Park or Kilburn.
